A message from Revolution Club Chicago

It was right to stand up to the murdering pigs—
What we need to do now is build the revolution we need to put an END to this shit

It was very righteous to stand up to the pigs who murdered Harith “Snoop” Augustus—to call out these murdering pigs—to demand justice for Snoop. When the police began swinging their clubs, hitting and brutalizing people—again it was very righteous that people defended themselves and refused to back down in the face of the violence the pigs were bringing down.

We need more of this—more of standing up and sending a message that we are not going to accept them brutalizing and murdering people. And we need to fight ALL the crimes this system does to people here and all over the world. But if our resistance just becomes a fight to try to REFORM this rotten system, our grandchildren will be fighting the same shit.

We need to STOP this.

This problem cannot be solved by working within this system—think about it—work within the system that is the source of your oppression? No. This problem can only be solved by overthrowing this racist, capitalist-imperialist system, and replacing it with a whole new system, a new socialist republic.

We have the strategy, the leadership in Bob Avakian, and the science and organization to do exactly that.

When we stand up and fight back, it has to be part of how people start to wake up and get organized for the revolution we need to actually PUT AN END to this shit. It has to be part of how we are applying the strategy for revolution, doing what we need to do now to prepare for revolution.

Some people are beginning to check out the real solution as they are raising their heads and standing up. This is very important. And some other people, and social forces, are getting freaked out because they don’t want the boat rocking too much. Some don’t like the injustices, but they think they can carve out a space for themselves within this system. They don’t want the upheaval of revolution. So they try to reform it, make the police a little kinder, make them say “excuse me” before they shoot you.

But to those attacking and slandering the revolution, making up all kinds of vile nonsense and refusing to get to the issues, one question: Do you stand for reform, or revolution?

We should unite with people when they want to fight the enemy, but they cannot be allowed to make unprincipled, bullshit attacks against the revolution. When you come across people doing that—call their shit out, tell them to stop because they are attacking what the masses of people need most.

As it says in the strategy for revolution, HOW WE CAN WIN—How We Can Really Make Revolution, “While many people will do positive things in opposing the crimes of this system, we need to approach everything—evaluate every political program and every organized force in society, every kind of culture, values and ways of treating people—according to how it relates to the revolution we need, to end all oppression. We should unite with people wherever we can, and struggle with them whenever we need to, to advance the revolution.”

As for the police and those who are working with and working for the police—either openly or secretly—slandering and attacking the revolution, what we have to say to you is: FUCK YOU!

For everybody else who wants to see an end to this system, get this statement out everywhere: Post it up and pass it out, and come by the Revolution Club Organizing Center to talk seriously about HOW WE CAN WIN—How We Can Really Make Revolution.
