Large numbers of police were not able to intimidate the people on the march. Cops in riot gear flanked the march so tightly people could not join in. Dozens of people many wearing stickers saying “Danger – Police in the Area” followed the march from the opposite side of the street wanting to join in but also considering what the police might do to them if they did. “Fuck it”, said one young woman. “I’m going anyway!”
