We cannot have any hope that the Democratic Party or Obama, because he is from an oppressed race, will change the gringo policy toward the oppressed countries of the world. We need a different kind of change, a total change. The people must have the power.

The basis for Israel's founding by the zionist Ben Gurion according to his diary was 1) a safe place for Jews and 2) creating a Jewish nationalist state by getting rid of the indigenous Palestinian Arabs. (Detailed in the book, The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine.)So it had not occurred to me to consider Israel's role had morphed into hitman for US imperialism, however, that not only makes the most sense of any explanation to date but also the most chilling. It explains the timing of the attacks, US allowing the slaughter to continue both in the 2006 Israel invasion of Lebanon and the current genocide of the GAZA concentration cage as well as the $3 billion/yr grand subsidy. The cruelty to Palestinian children is unprecedented. I never heard of a prison being bombed. Thank you for your article.

It IS about the Zionist lobby and the Jews, because no other ethnic group in the world would be allowed to get away with the crimes commited by the Israelis in Gaza, and no other ethnic group has the power of pro-Israel lobby AIPAC.

We must continue to build deep resistance to the U.S.-Israeli death machine, and cannot be deterred from doing this by threats coming from reactionary, racist organizations. Those of us who are out in the public eye in particular may be subject to these kind of threats, and we all have a responsibility to defend such comrades. May we all accelerate the building of the resistance movement to the crimes of the U.S. government and the illegitimate colonial settler state of Israel!

All I have 2 say is that all progressive organizations should get together and start criticizing Obama now. Now,is the time to do it in order to delay or derail the tsunami which is heading our way...He has appointed the very worst people in the world in his administration and nobody has the guts to say anything....

I am so glad that somehow I got on your email list.
I just read the speech from Alan Goodman. I am really saddened that the new president seems to be willing to play up to the Zionists. But then what can he do. Are the Zionists so entrenched in our military that Obama doesn't dare challenge that war, or is it that a president cant do anything much to change the goose steps of this machine. Then what can we do? Outrage! Letters to Lieberman? Letters to Pres and new company? Cut off funding? Where is the Achille's heel? Is it not the misery created by expansionism wrecking on the local inhabitants and workers of this flash in the pan Empire? Can't wait to see what ideas come to mind and look forward to reading the Revolution online.
I live in fledgling forestland, learning from the trees about cooperation. Used to live in a small city and learned of greed and competition. Hope to learn enough to act when I see the results of this greed extending to continents and peoples worldwide. How does one go about changing the tide?

We need to address how police come into the black community and disrespect us. They wonder why we have no snitch. Every time we try and get involve and help the police they harass us or beat us!! We need to address every police officer because no matter what color the officers are they all disrespect the black community. We are the only community that have to know what to do while driving, walking, in a crowd, and etc. so we won't get shot!! They need to get rid of the rotten apple police officers and send the rest to minority sensitive schooling. We need to have town meetings addressing this with the head of police, community leaders and mayor!!

down here in Miami after the passage of Amendment 2,there was a big rally of Gays and Lesbians so to reassess the situation…, Although I am heterosexual,I volunteered to help recruit some new members for the host organization which is called SafeAmericanValues4Everyone, SAVE. To my amazement, the first organized meeting after the rally was to take place inside of a church....It does not take much brain power to realize that the majority if not all of the people who voted for the amendment, did so because of religious bigotry. I tried unsuccessfully to convey this message to the people at SAVE and have not been back there since...Why in the world would a gay person wan to be a member of an organization that constantly preaches hate against him or her? Makes no sense at all.....All gays and lesbians should renounce religion completely or until they all change their teachings of hate for others.......Until you do that, the likes of Rick Warren are going to continue to use gays and lesbians as pawns on a chess game

[Translated from Spanish] Friend, I do not practice any religion, but one thing is very clear to me. If people did at least a little of what Jesus or Buddah did (not what they said, but what they did—and surely they were the greatest activists, deserving of the most respect, in history), the world would be more just and would not need capitalist or communist regimes (since both, in the hands of man, are as dangerous as religions). I believe that institutions are the problem, along with political parties. It is as difficult to find a pope worthy of the word of Jesus as it is to find a communist politician worthy of the will and ideological commitment of Guevara.
The important things is that spirituality is 50% of a man, and the eight-fold path of Buddah is probably the best road so that the morality of a man be worthy.
It would be very good for the concept of communism to be extended also to animals and to promote a vegetarian diet based on compassion—that is the motivation of the Buddhist—and take the best of both worlds: the intellectual and the spiritual.

Hi, I have read some of Avakians books and I am currently reading Food of the Gods by terence mckenna. Anyway, I was wondering if you believe that drugs, not marijuana, like DMT, LSD, and psilocybin mushrooms could help facilitate a revolution. The book ,Food of the Gods, talks extensively about the ability of the aforementioned drugs to break down borders in the mind and cause the feeling of oneness with the human race. I am a senior in high school and am attending a Advanced Placement Government class and the idea of a communist government is ludicrous to everyone except me. They mention Stalin and other injustices wrongfully categorized with communism. I specify the differences between fake communism but most even find the idea of communism as wrong. There is actually a group of Rand loving capitalists in my class. The mainstream media did an excellent job of demonizing communism and the general American opinion ,in my experience, does not hold communism in high regard. Obviously education is important but misinformation is still going on. One of my friends sowed me her government notes form high school and it said "communism = oligarchy: and last year in history class I was shown a slide by the teacher which said, "Communism" on the top then "Stalin" below it and then "over 1.5 million executed". Anyway, I think that maybe if some psychedelics were legalized ,which is very unlikely ,then people would be more willing to entertain ideas such as communism... I was just wondering if you believe that these substances could have a positive effect towards a communist revolution.

While these countries, and you know which ones they are, continue with these leaders strangling the people while they pile up the riches, there will be no more communist or socialist countries that say they bring better things to the people. Look how the popularity of Chavez in Venezuela has declined in these years when people begin to see the claws of a leader who changes his attitude once he has power. I know that you don’t have time to respond to these comments, but what can I expect if you do not?
