The Murder of George Floyd: In the Face of a Bestial Crime, a Beautiful Rebellion

A photo, a video of the heinous action that goes around the world, of the police cutting down the life of another Black person, this time on a street in Minneapolis in the United States. George Floyd, another person of color killed by murdering pigs in a system born of slavery and genocide, whose tentacles today span a world empire of exploitation and oppression.
Faced with the mountain of so much injustice, so many horrors, people rebel, shouting out their anger, saying we’ve had enough, taking to the streets in city after city, defying curfews, facing bullets, beatings, and tear gas to demand justice.
This rebellion of people of all nationalities in the United States inspires all of us, all over the world, who long for another future for humanity. And we are inspired by the valiant fight in the very belly of the beast being waged by the Revolutionary Communist Party, USA, to overthrow this capitalist-imperialist system that is the cause of so much injustice, so much unnecessary suffering.
This righteous rebellion presages the potential for a completely different world. The following has been said by Bob Avakian, the Chairman of that Party and the architect of the New Communism: “There is the potential for something of unprecedented beauty to arise out of unspeakable ugliness: Black people playing a crucial role in putting an end, at long last, to this system which has, for so long, not just exploited but dehumanized, terrorized and tormented them in a thousand ways—putting an end to this in the only way it can be done—by fighting to emancipate humanity, to put an end to the long night in which human society has been divided into masters and slaves, and the masses of humanity have been lashed, beaten, raped, slaughtered, shackled and shrouded in ignorance and misery.”
We face the same capitalist-imperialist system wherever we are on the globe, and the fight for another very different and better future for humanity must unite us all. All over the world, revolution, communist revolution, is needed, and nothing less.

The Ongoing Need for Sustainers
During this four month fund drive, Revcom.us continued to incur thousands of dollars of costs each month for our office, maintaining our existing site and other expenses.
