1. Why is it the Democrats can only try to resolve this on the terms of the system, & for that reason cannot offer any alternative that is in our interests, in the interests of humanity?

The Republicans AND Democrats believe in the "exceptional greatness" of America & its empire. They BOTH stand for the capitalist system of exploitation.
