Imperialism is not just a big word reserved for books, leftist circles, and intellectual debates—not for us, the people of Iran. Today, imperialism has become a bomb, and it has landed on us in a thousand corners of our own home. If until yesterday it was hidden from many eyes in the labyrinth of economics and politics, today its reality has emerged from under the rubble—like the hands of the children of Minab.
Today, our home has become the stage for the display of the raw imperial power of the United States. A place where it must prove to the world that nothing is capable of standing against it. The experiment that was “successfully” carried out on Gaza is now being implemented in our home and on our friends and loved ones. If until yesterday this system dominated us through the Islamic Republic, today it has placed its foot directly on our lives and our future.
Today is a moment to honestly challenge our illusions and false hopes of finding any salvation within this system, and to reclaim our future—alongside all those who share our fate across the world—from the madmen armed with nuclear bombs who are determined to preserve this system at the cost of our destruction.
Today is the time for a struggle deeper and wider than ever before—against an order that long ago reached its expiration date, and that from here on has nothing left to offer except greater horrors.
