Trump Fascism Seizes the President of Venezuela, Says it Will Run the Country and Threatens the World. The Time Has Come to Draw the Line— Trump Must Go Now!

We will make a presentation and then get into these (and other) questions:
1. The US invaded Venezuela, kidnapped its President and declared that the US would run Venezuela and take its oil. Is this just about oil? Some correctly condemn US imperialism - but what is imperialism? What are the deeper dynamics of this system in today’s world?
2. How has Venezuela become bound up with global contention between the US and China? Why has the US declared that it will tolerate no imperialist rivals in all of Latin America? What is different in the way Trump MAGA fascism is approaching Latin America than how US imperialism has always sought to rule over, exploit, and dominate Latin America?
3. What will it take to stop MAGA fascism? And what will it take to put an end to imperialism?
